LANGUAGE: 

Arabic is the official language. English is the predominant foreign language (French widely spoken).

CLIMATE: 

Mediterranean, generally mild with clear and sunny sky (it allows for year-round swimming.). Temperatures increase southward. On average, these vary between 9 to 19 degrees C in winter and between 22 to 34 degrees C in summer.

CLOTHING: 

Summer : Light cotton garments.Winter : Heavy cotton garments all day and woolen garments and coats for the evening.
